Weather or Not: Making Photos Shine

Mother Nature doesn’t always cooperate, but that didn’t stop us from turning tricky weather-affected photos into stunning visuals.

Inbar

The client came to us with a common photography challenge: unpredictable weather. Rainy/gloomy days: Everything looked dark, gray, and lifeless.

Our job was to make these photos pop while keeping them true to their natural feel.

Our approach

We carefully analyzed all the photos alongside the weather conditions during the shoot, noting the timing and impact of light, colors, and saturation. This allowed us to adjust the images while maintaining the authentic feel of each scene.

Rough Patches and Solutions

  • Muted Colors & Flat Tones

Cloudy weather tends to wash out natural colors, making photos look dull.

Solution: We carefully boosted saturation and warmth, restoring natural skin tones and rich details without making the edits look artificial.

  • Lack of Contrast & Depth

The soft, diffused lighting from an overcast sky made subjects blend into the background.

Solution: We enhanced contrast and midtones to create depth, ensuring subjects stood out while maintaining a natural feel.
